GrasPods Society Homepage

The BCCRC Graduate Student and Post Doctoral Society was established in the spring of 2005 with the vision of facilitating social and scientific networks among the many graduate students and post doctoral fellows of the BC Cancer Research Centre.

The GrasPods inaugural event was a BBQ social held May 2005. Subsequently GrasPods has sponsored movie nights in the Gordon and Leslie Diamond Family Theatre, organized intramural sports teams, and assumed responsibility of the Thursday Morning Student Seminar Series. Currently, GrasPods hosts the Winslow Bennett "Kick it Upstairs" lecture series and is working to become more involved in the Monday Noon Seminar series. Additionally the society is working to establish a current events website as well as a building environmental sustainability committee. If you would like to volunteer for the society, or have suggestions for speakers to invite, ideas for events, or other questions or comments, please contact your GrasPods floor representative or any of the executive committee members. Their contact details can be found on the Council page.
